  • Pilates is a full-body movement practice developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s that builds deep strength, improves mobility, and creates balance throughout the entire body. At its core, Pilates blends precise, controlled movement with intentional breathwork—training your body to move with greater efficiency, control, and awareness.

Over time, Pilates transforms the way you stand, move, and feel. It enhances posture, flexibility, coordination, and overall body awareness while strengthening the body from the inside out. The result is not just a stronger body in the studio, but a more supported, capable body in everyday life.

Rooted in adaptability, Pilates can be tailored to all ages and fitness levels, meeting you exactly where you are—and evolving with you as you grow stronger.

  • Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. If you’re new to Pilates, we recommend starting with a Private Session. Private sessions provide the most personalized introduction to Pilates and allow our instructors to get to assess your movement, learn about your goals, and tailor the experience to your individual needs.

If you prefer a group setting, our Re:Form and Re:Align classes offer a supportive and welcoming way to learn the fundamentals while building strength, confidence, and body awareness. Both options are designed to establish a strong foundation for your movement journey.

  • Absolutely. Cielo welcomes clients of all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Our small class sizes allow for personalized attention, modifications, and guidance throughout your session.

  • Please wear grip socks (required for all classes) and comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

No socks? No problem — grip socks are available for purchase at the studio.

We also recommend bringing water to stay hydrated.

  • Due to our intimate studio size, doors open 5–10 minutes before class. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to allow time for parking, getting settled, meeting your instructor, and discussing any injuries or movement considerations before your session begins.

For your first visit, arriving early allows us to introduce you to the Reformer/Tower and provide any guidance needed so you can begin your practice feeling comfortable, confident, and supported.

To create a safe and seamless experience for all clients, please arrive on time for class. We understand that occasional delays happen and allow a 5-minute grace period; however, late arrivals beyond this window may not be permitted to join class for safety reasons and to minimize disruption to the session.

  • There are several convenient parking options within walking distance of the studio. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your session to find parking and get settled in.

    Street Parking

2-hour city street parking is available on Archdale, Beaufain, Logan, and Queen Street, depending on availability.

    Paid Parking Lots

    • 45 Archdale Street — Located directly behind the studio. $3/hour

    • 33 Archdale Street — Located a 2-minute walk south on Archdale Street. $3/hour

Paid parking lot meters are active from 9:00am-6:00pm and are free before 9:00am and after 6:00pm.

    Parking Garages

    • Majestic Square Garage — Located inside the Target building at 151 Market Street. $1 per 20 minutes (2-minute walk to the studio)

    • Queen Street Garage — Located at 93 Queen Street. $1 per 20 minutes (6-minute walk to the studio)

Important: Please do not park in the Le Farfalle parking lot across the street, as your car will get booted.

  • A Private Session is a fully personalized Pilates experience designed around your individual body, goals, and needs. Sessions utilize the full range of Pilates apparatus and may include the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Mat work.

Your instructor will thoughtfully select and combine equipment based on what best supports your alignment, strength, mobility, and any specific goals or considerations you may have that day. This allows for a highly tailored experience that can be rehabilitative, athletic, or a blend of both depending on your needs.

  • The Reformer is a spring-based Pilates apparatus that uses both resistance and support to transform the way you move. It creates a highly effective, low-impact workout that challenges the entire body—building strength, improving control, and enhancing mobility across all fitness levels.

  • The Pilates Tower is a spring-based apparatus that combines a stable mat with a vertical frame of springs, bars, and straps to support and challenge movement. It is designed to strengthen, lengthen, and restore the body through controlled resistance work that emphasizes alignment, posture, breath, and deep core engagement.

Compared to the Reformer, which uses a moving carriage to create dynamic resistance, the Tower keeps the body anchored on the mat, offering a more grounded and precise approach that supports stability, mobility, and overall body awareness.

  • Pilates is highly rehabilitative and can be incredibly supportive during injury recovery when appropriately adapted. If you are experiencing pain, have a current injury, or are recovering from surgery, please let us know before class or your session so your instructor can offer appropriate modifications and guide you in a way that feels safe, supported, and effective for your body—we’ve got you.

  • Yes—Pilates can be a wonderful way to stay strong and connected to your body during pregnancy when appropriately guided. Our private sessions and classes focus on controlled, intentional movement, with options and modifications offered throughout to support your changing body.

We always recommend checking with your physician first before beginning or continuing Pilates during pregnancy. Once cleared, we encourage you to reach out before booking your first session so we can guide you toward the safest and most supportive option based on your stage of pregnancy, experience level, and individual needs.

  • Yes—absolutely! Cielo was founded from a personal journey through scoliosis and spinal fusion recovery, and we understand the importance of meeting each body with care and intention. We welcome clients with a wide range of movement backgrounds and are able to offer thoughtful, individualized modifications to support your needs.

Depending on your needs, private sessions may be recommended to ensure you receive the most supportive and individualized experience.

  • Yes! College of Charleston students receive 10% off all class packages with a valid student ID. As a CofC alumna, our founder is happy to extend this offer to the student community.

  • If a class is fully booked, you are welcome to join the waitlist. Our waitlist operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

If a spot becomes available four (4) or more hours before class, the system will automatically enroll the first client on the waitlist. You will receive a confirmation email and be responsible for attending or canceling in accordance with our cancellation policy if your plans change.

If a spot opens within four (4) hours of class, all clients on the waitlist will be notified by SMS. The first client to respond and confirm will be booked into the class. We follow this policy to ensure that clients who are added from the waitlist have sufficient time to plan for their attendance.

All waitlist bookings are subject to the same cancellation policy as standard reservations.

  • A 12-hour cancellation policy applies to all group classes. Cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled class time will result in the loss of one class credit from your package, membership, or account.

Failure to attend a reserved class without prior cancellation will be considered a no-show and will result in a $25 no-show fee.

Private and duet sessions require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation. Cancellations made within this window or missed appointments will result in the full session fee being charged or the session credit being forfeited.
